McLaren wilde de hype graag voor zijn en onthulde alvast hun nieuwste model, de 675LT. De laatste twee letters in deze naam staan voor Long Tail, een bekende term voor de McLaren fans onder ons.\r\n\r\nMcLaren verwijst hier subtiel mee naar de beroemde, en enorm zeldzame McLaren F1 GTR Longtail, welke samen met de nieuwste telg uit deze Britse familie in Gen\u00e8ve te zien zal zijn.\u00a0Wij zijn niet vies van Britse auto\u2019s, u kunt niet voor niets bij ons een Aston Martin DBS huren, en McLaren is daar geen uitzondering op. De nieuwste sportauto van dit opnieuw opkomende merk is bepaald geen papieren tijger. De 3.8L twin turbo V8 die in alle moderne McLarens ligt, levert in dit model maar liefst 675pk aan de achterwielen. Ondanks dat het in basis hetzelfde blok betreft, is maar liefst 50% van de onderdelen geheel nieuw ontwikkeld voor dit model. Tevens wist men 100 kilo gewicht te besparen ten opzichte van de 650S door onder andere nog meer gebruik van koolstofvezel en het schrappen van onnodige luxe zoals airco. Dit alles betekent dat een sprintje van 0 naar 100 in slechts 2,9s geklaard kan worden, terwijl je 5 seconden later al 200 kilometer per uur aantikt.\r\n\r\nOok het uiterlijk bleef natuurlijk niet onveranderd, echter is de LongTail onverwachts maar 34mm langer als de 650S. De auto is het makkelijkst te herkennen aan de achterkant. De nieuwe spoiler, die tevens als luchtrem werkt, is 50% gegroeid maar werd tevens ook lichter. De motor ademt nu via twee ronde uitlaat eindstukken die prominent in het midden van de achterkant geplaatst zijn. Rondom werd de auto voorzien van nieuwe bumpers en koolstofvezel aerodynamische onderdelen, welke de stabiliteit op hoge snelheden moeten garanderen. Al met al heeft het Engelse merk weer een pareltje van een supercar op de markt gebracht. De auto oogt niet alleen elegant zoals alleen een Britse auto dat kan, maar ook zeer sportief en het is dan ook het ultieme trackday speeltje.\r\n\r\nOndanks dat wij op dit moment geen McLaren in ons wagenpark hebben, bent u bij ons wel aan het juiste adres voor het huren van uw trouwauto. In ons wagenpark treft u de eerder genoemde Aston Martin DBS, voor wie zo stijlvol als James Bond ten tonele wil verschijnen, maar bijvoorbeeld ook de Maserati Quattroporte GTS, de schitterende limousine waarin u ook door een chauffeur gereden kan worden desgewenst. Naast de Brit en Italiaan, heeft u bij ons ook de keuze uit twee Duitse toppers. De Audi RS5 is een krachtige maar subtiel gelijnde coup\u00e9, hiermee geniet u van de pure power tijdens het rijden terwijl u er zelfs nog enigszins anoniem in kunt komen aanrijden. Voor wie graag de wind in zijn of haar haar wil voelen op de mooiste dag van uw leven, hebben wij de Audi TTS Cabrio.
